Rwanda Smallholder – Washed
This coffee is all heart 💛 and seriously good flavour. Grown by around 625 smallholder farming families in South Rwanda, this lot comes from a farmer-owned project that reinvests 100% of its profits back into the community. Washed with pristine mountain water and grown using organic-by-default practices, these Arabica cherries showcase everything we love about Rwandan coffee: clarity, sweetness, and depth.
In the cup? Smooth, sweet, and dense—especially dreamy as espresso. Expect rich cocoa and caramel up front, wrapped in buttery chocolate, with soft jasmine florals and a gentle cinnamon warmth lingering in the finish. The Bourbon influence brings that classic, comforting sweetness with just a whisper of fruit to keep things interesting.
Home brewers: this one shines with a slightly cooler brew temp (85–90 °C) and a grind a touch coarser than usual. Home roasters, take note—these dense beans roast evenly and love a darker roast for maximum gloss and body.
What’s the vibe?
✨ Cozy, grounded, and quietly luxurious.
✨ Sweet espresso energy.
✨ Community-driven, feel-good sipping.
