From the lush highlands of Nicaragua, the renowned regions of Matagalpa and Jinotega produce some of the country’s finest coffees, grown at elevations ranging from 800 to over 1,700 meters. Classified as SHG (Strictly High Grown), these beans are cultivated above 1,200 meters, where cooler climates slow their development, resulting in a denser structure and a more refined, complex cup. Each region brings its own character—Jinotega offers bright citrus acidity with delicate floral complexity, while Matagalpa is celebrated for its rich body and sweet notes of chocolate and roasted nuts. Carefully processed using natural drying methods without mechanical intervention, this coffee reveals a clean, well-balanced profile with layers of caramel sweetness, citrus brightness, and a smooth, lingering finish that reflects the depth and craftsmanship of Nicaragua’s coffee heritage.
