El Salvador San Carlos Estate – Red Bourbon
Apple pie, chocolate, and a little volcanic magic!
Who says coffee can't taste like dessert? Grown at 1,275 metres above sea level in La Libertad, El Salvador, this Red Bourbon comes from San Carlos Estate, where rich volcanic soils, tropical rainfall, and generations of coffee-growing experience come together to create something delicious.
Here's where the magic happens: the coffee undergoes 12 hours of fermentation, followed by washing and natural sun drying. This traditional process helps bring out the bean's natural sweetness while keeping its flavours clean and balanced. And there's more to love! San Carlos Estate is Rainforest Alliance and C.A.F.E. Practices certified, with a strong commitment to supporting its workers and surrounding communities.
In the cup, think freshly baked apple pie, sweet dried fruits, and a lovely chocolate aroma. With medium body, balanced acidity, and a smooth, approachable character, this coffee is like a comforting dessert without the crumbs.
What's the vibe? Sunday afternoon at grandma's house. There's apple pie in the oven, chocolate on the table, and absolutely no rush to be anywhere. Cozy, nostalgic, and deliciously familiar.
